What each platform asks for. When you pick several, sizes that share a shape come from one render, downscaled and never cropped.

Official numbers come from the platform's own help pages. Estimates meet every published minimum. Checked on September 25, 2026.

    No added borders, text or watermarks, and the photo must show the item accurately.

  • Google Shopping

    Google wants the main image on a plain white background and doesn't accept illustrations there. Photoreal renders are a gray area, so use them as additional images.

    Tall portrait post: Ads allow 4:5 at most, so a 3:4 post needs a new crop to run as an ad.

    Story or Reel: Keep the product clear of the top 14% and bottom 35%, where Instagram draws its buttons.

    In light mode Pinterest lays a 4% dark layer over white and near-white backgrounds, so light backdrops look slightly gray there.
